Reset for the year ahead

Friday 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st – 11:00am – 1:30pm

For the month of January, come along to a 75 minute trauma informed yoga practice, followed by a shared plant based lunch in the Deśa gardens. Be inspired to start the year right by carving out time for yourself, to commit to nourishing self care practice for both mind and body.

Deśa invites you to connect to yourself through a grounding yoga practice and then connect with others in our beautiful community over a shared nutrient vibrant plant based meal. Conscious social connection is critical to wellbeing, enjoy this opportunity to connect with like minded people over a delicious lunch.

Emma the owner of Deśa will guide the yoga practice while plant based cook Josy will lovingly prepare the shared lunch. A great opportunity to learn how to bring more plant based options into your daily life, and be inspired by Josy’s amazing food. Walk away with a whole-body experience, retreat, nurture connect and even take home the recipe of the day to nourish your family and friends.

Befriending your body

A trauma informed course involving meditation, yoga and a shared discussion 

Every Thursday from January 30th until March 26th – 7:30 pm – 8:45 pm

Emma will guide participants through a number of trauma informed resourcing practices that may be helpful for managing strong feelings, emotions, thought patterns and periods of stress, anxiety and depression. When practiced regularly, such practices of self-attunement may deepen and strengthen a person’s relationship with themselves, increase resilience to life’s ups and downs and possibly provide a foundation for inner harmony that helps cultivate more harmony in other relationships.

No prior yoga/meditation experience is necessary, all movement is optional and the range and intensity of the movement is always the choice of the participant.

Each week will involved a practical component yoga and or meditation, a philosophical focus, and an opportunity for shared discussion.

Children’s Mindfulness Course

Every Wednesday from Jan. 29th until March 25th – 4 pm – 5.15 pm

Deśa owner Emma will guide children aged 8-12 through 10 weeks of mindfulness practices, including, yoga, meditation, mindful drawing, music, deep listening skills and shared discussion.

The course will involve both inside classes and also time in the beautiful Deśa garden.

Adults meditation Course Summer start

Every Monday from Jan. 27th until March 23rd – 7 pm – 8.30 pm

A 9 week course, for 1.5 hours every Monday night involved both practical mediation tools and discussion.

Chi Kung with Danielle

Wednesday 15th, 22nd, 29th – 9 am – 10 am

During 4 weekly classes we explore chi kung inspired mindful movement and meditation.

Informed by a over decade of biodynamic practice and 30 years of philosophical exploration, this unique experience is intuitively guided and connects you to your deeper knowing and ever present health.

This practice has been offered on the Surf Coast for over 7 years and is perfect for beginners or experienced mindful movers.

The exquisite new Desa Retreat studio space is providing the perfect back drop for this exploration.

It is simple and easy to learn and is purely about feeling good and creating conscious awareness and vitality.

You will be joining a class of likeminded, open hearted, kindred spirits and are welcome to join in for coffee and chat at Swell Cafe after class.

4 week block $75
casual attendance $25 per class

For anyone who loves the health supporting qualities of BCST, purchase a 4 week chi kung class with 1 x BCST session and pay $140 (save $35) or 4 week chi kung pass with 2 x BCST for $200 (save $75).
