Reset Series

Friday 7th, 14th, 28th and Saturday 8th and 22nd – 11:00am – 1:30pm

Come along to a 75 minute gentle yoga practice, followed by a shared plant based lunch in the Deśa gardens. Be inspired to start the year right by carving out time for yourself, to commit to nourishing self care practice for both mind and body.

Deśa invites you to connect to yourself through a grounding yoga practice and then connect with others in our beautiful community over a shared nutrient vibrant plant based meal. Conscious social connection is critical to wellbeing, enjoy this opportunity to connect with like minded people over a delicious lunch.

Emma the owner of Deśa will guide the yoga practice while plant based cook Josy will lovingly prepare the shared lunch. A great opportunity to learn how to bring more plant based options into your daily life, and be inspired by Josy’s amazing food. Walk away with a whole-body experience, retreat, nurture connect and even take home the recipe of the day to nourish your family and friends.

Befriending your body – A trauma informed course involving meditation, yoga and shared discussion

Thursdays 30th of January – 26th March – 7.30pm – 8.45pm

Emma will guide participants through a number of trauma informed resourcing practices that may be helpful for managing strong feelings, emotions, thought patterns and periods of stress, anxiety and depression. When practiced regularly, such practices of self-attunement may deepen and strengthen a person’s relationship with themselves, increase resilience to life’s ups and downs and possibly provide a foundation for inner harmony that helps cultivate more harmony in other relationships.

 

Teen Yoga

Every Thursday, February 6th until March 26th – 5pm – 6pm

This 8 week course will involve both meditation and movement and breath work, as well as teachings around thought streams and where they come from, strategies for managing strong emotions, how to recognise communication from the body and what to do with that communication. The key focus is developing a kind relationship with self, learning to value and appreciate internal wisdom, and build resilience to life’s challenges through adopting practices and strategies that support emotional regulation and grounding.

 

Investment: $20 p.P. drop-in classes

CHILDREN’S MINDFULNESS COURSE

Wednesdays 4pm – 5:15pm
January 29th until March 25th

Deśa owner Emma will guide children aged 8-12 through 9 weeks of simple meditations, fun activities and chats relevant to their feelings – all aimed at helping each child flourish naturally.

The kid’s mindfulness course will help children develop the skills they need to maintain a healthy, happy mind.
These classes will present the basics of mindfulness in an easy to understand and playful way.

Your child will learn:
• How to handle big emotions
• Improve their ability to concentrate
• Explore their creativity
• Acts of kindness
• The power of the mind

The course will involve both inside classes and also time in the beautiful Deśa garden.

Drop-in class: $18 (incl. GST)
9 week pass: $120 (incl. GST)

ADULTS MEDITATION


Every Monday until the 23rd of March – 7pm – 8.30pm

This 1.5 hour class involves both practical mediation tools and discussion.⁠
